Literature Text

The eyes, blue of pride undying,
With vivid colours surrounding them
Renewing with the tide of a year

Lavishly revealing unmarred beauty,
but the ancient circles witnessed
Every glance, met their beholder

This pride, wicked and imposing,
Took many breaths away, ah
Leading to their guarded Eternal Gate

But dangerously left to one alone,
Gracious feathers intercepting the fall
Comfortably wrapping, but suffocating

They taught beauty to be invincible,
The unspeakable to exploit the perceiver
To manipulate, to intoxicate

Trapped with taciturnity forever,
They shut the door and look down
From their sophisticated balcony

Be warned and be prepared, young one
For they ever seem to be resistant
But in your youth you will never be
Be on your guard for people who take pride in what they do, for they'll feel insulted if you ignore what they do. Don't forget that beauty is treacherous, as is pride. You can swallow it, but it can also swallow you.

I love your use of lesser used adjectives it makes this so much more fun to read.
Indeed pride is a knife that cuts both ways.
